AU PAIR

For 8 years now the Maewill English College has been running English Language Courses for students from overseas. Invariably they come to Australia on a Visitor’s, Student or Working Holiday Visa. Those students who are in Australia on Student or working holiday visas are permitted to work in Australia.

Students studying at Maewill have also required accommodation in and around the college. As the college is located in the beautiful northern beaches area of Sydney students have often availed themselves of the opportunity to live with an Australian family.

A natural extension of the "homestay" program has been the development of the Maewill au pair program- MAPP.

Maewill places women (or even men if requested) with adequate English and requisite experience with an Australian family. It may just be to do the cleaning or mind the children after school or involve preparing meals and washing laundry as well. The student will live with the family and be provided with accommodation and meals for free. Then depending on the amount of work that is assigned to the student they will also receive some extra money from the family.

Maewill scrupulously assesses each woman’s candidacy for an au pair position- receiving detailed applications and references and other supporting documents. See application form attached.
