HEALTH

Health Insurance
Students on student visas pay for Private Health Insurance with their other fees before coming Australia.
After arriving in Australia students will receive their Medibank Private number within a few weeks.

You must take this number, your passport, college confirmation of enrolment and completed Medibank Private membership form to the nearest Medibank Private office at:

You will immediately receive an interim card and receipt. Your permanent card will be mailed to your address. The insurance covers you from the day you arrive in Australia.

If you need to see a medical practitioner, pay for the consultation, keep the receipt and then acquire a rebate on the fee from the Medibank Private Office. For more information about health insurance, go to: www.medibank.com.au

There are a number of doctors around Brookvale.

Unless you have extra cover medical insurance, be prepared to pay the full amount for consultation and procedure.

Specialists
You must see a General Practitioner first to get a referral to a specialist doctor.

It's not difficult to stay healthy in Sydney. Maewill students enjoying the Coogee to Bondi walk.
