HOLIDAY WRITING by Glen

I have had a fantasitic holiday. My friends and I have done many fun things, we went to Dee Why Beach and Luna Park. We played basketball at St Augustine's College, saw the movie Harry Potter, went shopping on 27th December and so on.

Especially, I had my birthday party. I invited some of my classmates and friends. Now I am 18, I can drink, I can smoke, I can go to the pub... Many things I can do, but also many things I can not do, for example I can't stop more and more annoyances that are coming into my life. I can't just be dependent on my parents, teachers, relatives or someone else. I shall try my best to do everything that I can do by myself. As a young man, I am full of plans and dreams. I can't just think about them like a child, I have to act so that something comes from them.

We are going to the city to see the fireworks tonight. We just saw it on TV every year in the past. I am very excited that I will see the fireworks in Sydney. Maybe my parents will see me on CCTV tonight.

MY FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

It was my first Christmas holiday because Christmas' Day isn't a public holiday in China and it is only popular in teenagers or celebrated by Christians in China. So it was a particular holiday for me. Something new some different feelings that I would not know if I didn't come to Australia.

I have a fantasitic holiday. My friends and I have done many funs, we went to the Dee Why Beach and the Luna Park, We played basketball at St Augustine's Coll, saw the movie Harry Potter, went shopping on 27th Dec and so on. It was a opportunity to go shopping on 27th Dec, Everything was on sale. I had bought my parents, relatives and friends many presents.  I will give  them those presents after going back China.

Especially, Although my birthday was 26th Dec, I have my birthday party on 28th Dec. I invited some of my classmates and friends. Now I am 18, I can drink, I can smok, I can went to pub... Many things I can do, but also many things I can not do, for example I can't stop more and more annoies that are coming to my life. I can't just be dependent on my parents, teachers, relatives or someone else. I shall try my best to do everything that I can do by myself. As a young man, I am full of plans and dreams, I can't just thinking about them like a child, I gotta do something so that there would be something come to them.

We went to the Luna Park to see the fireworks on new year's eve. Unforgettably, I have got a sweet kiss from a lovely, elegant, Australian girl. It was the best new year presents I recived. She was as beatiful as Daphne, like a Angel come to my life from the garden of Eden. I missed her and her sweet kiss every day and night after that day, after the 2 romantic seconds. But I don't know her name,her home address or phone number. I thought the prince was more luckily than me, at least he had got one of Cinderella's crystal high heels. I didn't get any clue for finding her. I just know she is in Australia now as well as my dreams.

I don't know where I will go after studying in Australia, perhaps go back China or another countries. But my dreams are in Australia now.

I couldn't play with my friends because I spent a lot of time with my cousin. But I think my holiday was quite good. I went to many beaches and swam with my cousin so my skin went dark.

A week ago, I went somewhere with some Korean families and also my cousin for fishing. There were a lot of rocks so, we climbed rocks with our bags for an hour but it was very difficult for everyone because that day's temperature was quite high.

Eventually, we found a good place to fish and also rest. I went fishing with some men but I didn't catch anything however, the men caught 2~3 fishes each except me. We stayed there for about 7 hours.

I also went many places with my cousin (Jamberoo, Ryde aquatic centre, etc)

On New Year's Eve, I went to the city with my cousin and watched fireworks until 12 pm. It was so brilliant, I didn't see as big fireworks in Korea. When the time was 12 o'clock, almost all of the people shouted, sung, clapped and watched the fireworks show.

I think, I had spectacular holiday....

Hello, my name is Roberta. I have been living in Australia since November.

My Holiday was very good!!!!!!!!
I went to Torquay in Merboune. I visited a lot of beachs, Bells Beach, Winki Pop, Jan Juc. I got good waves in Bells Beach and Winki Pop. I went to Bells with 7 friends and my boyfriend, Thomas.

I spent  my New Year in Jan Juc Beach. I drank a lot of beer and champagne. On my trip I saw Kangurus and Koalas. Are beatiful animals. I went to Rip Curl, Roxy and Billabong outlet shops. I bought a purse, bag and some clothes.

And I visited the 12 Apostoles......It was wonderful and exciting!!!!!
My trip was very cool and good!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLIDAY WRITING by Cara

The 26th of December, 2005 was Glen's 18th birthday. I was invited to his party, so were many other schoolmates at MEC English College.We waited in Warringah mall, when everyone arrived, we took a bus to a park near Glen's homestay's house.

It was so hot, so when we reached there, we drank a lot of beverages. Then lunch time came, we had a BBQ. The food was delicious, at that time, we also played some games.

The game was that put everyone's name on each piece of paper, then closed it. Choose one of them, the one whose name was on it should choose a balloon and break it, find a paper in it, do as the paper said. Wagner chose a paper which said he had to dance with a girl, so he did. Someone chose one, the information on it asked him to drink a cup of beer. Colin chose one which asked him to buy an ice cream in Coles.

After doing that, we went to the city.We chatted with each other in Darling Harbour. We also went to sing songs. Glen was a little drunk. We played till midnight, we all enjoyed ourselves.

HOLIDAY WRITING by Dinky

The 25th of December was my first Christmas day in Australia, but I didin't know it was in summer, in my mind, Christmas day should in winter. But I really had a wonderful time with my homestay family. They cooked lots of yummy food, such as: turkey, rice and vagetables, christmas pudding, ham, little bread, etc. They were really delicious.

I felt very warm and happy with them, because they are always so kind and so nice. The kids got their lovely gifts, so did I. Lots of food, lots of fun, lots of memories. I will not forget my first happy Christmas day in Australia, it will always be in my mind.

My new year's eve was also very intresting, I watched the fireworks on TV, they were fantastic. But the next day I didn't go out because of the awful weather: 45 'C. I can't imagine that if I go out for a short walk, how should I feel after that. So hot and dry, it isn't like my city in China, it is cool during the summer but it will snow sometimes in winter, but not very cold. I miss my family now...

I went to city to watch the fire works with my friends. It was the last day of 2005. The fire works stared at 9:00pm and 12:00am.

When the fire works finished, all the people shouted "Happy New Year" to the person next to them. That day was a pretty happy day. We didn't sleep that night. We went to Opera House after fire works to wait for the sun. When the sun was shining, we went to Manly beach and swam. That day was a really hot day, I got sunburnt...

Then I went to visit my aunt at night. We play until midnight, then I went back to the city to find my brother. It was really tiring keeping your eyes open for three days.

On the 3/1/2006, the first day of school started. But I didn't go because I went to my aunt's house to pick up my things and moved back to my homestay.

This is all about the last three days of my holiday. It was pretty good.

I had a nice holiday. I went to my aunty's home. We watched Chinese TV and moives. Sometimes we went to Chinatwon. I could eat Chinese food everyday. After dinner, all of us walked out, my aunty's home is near the sea, so we can walk and see the sea.

On New Year's Eve, we stayed at home becaues the weather was too hot, we made the cakes by ourselves, even though the cakes were not delicious, all of us ate a lot . At 12 o'clock, we went outside and saw the fireworks, we were very happy.

I think I will remember the new year forever .

I went to Luna Park with my friends. It was a hot day, we went there for free, we meet at 10 O'clock at the mall. I woke up at nearly 10 o'clock. I think i was lucky because when I woke up I saw York. he was eating his breakfast. I told him that I was going to to Luna park I needed him to drive me to the bus stop. He said, "I can take you and your friends to Luna park". He is a nice person.

When we arrived, we just felt hot and we were looking for exciting work. Then we got the tickets. We played, we were very busy and one ride just went around in a circle fast. It made us feel sick. Someone threw up, and I saw someone cry, haha ....

I did not really enjoy that, but I have got strong intestines, so I played that and also I felt sick.

In the afternoon we went to China town by train, ate lunch then back home. It was busy, but nice although very hot.
