ホームステイ

費用：

オーストラリア人の家族と一緒に住む費用は週$２２０です。この料金には個人の寝室、毎日の朝食と夕食、週末は昼食が含まれます。洗濯はホームステイのファミリーがしてくれます。もしも自分専用の電話、インターネットラインが欲しい場合はホストファミリーと交渉する必要があります。

利点：

オーストラリア人の家族と一緒に生活することは英語力上達への早道です。またオーストラリアの文化にも触れることが出来、家族と一緒にスポーツをしたり、出かけたり、パーティーに行ったりと色々なアクティビティーに参加することが出来ます。

ホストファミリーへの文化的配慮：

オーストラリア人の家庭は民主主義なので、家庭内での様々な仕事をみんなで役割分担します。率先して食事の後の片付け、庭仕事、部屋の掃除などを手伝うように努力しましょう。また、オーストラリアでは夜は比較的早く休む家族が多いので、夜９時以降に料理をしたりシャワーを浴びたり、ということは避けるようにしましょう。ホストファミリーが電気代や水道代をカバーしてくれますので、シャワーは短めに。ヒーターを一晩中つけっ放しにしたりしないよう注意してください。オーストラリア人のファミリーはたいてい犬、猫などのペットを飼っています。

家族とのハーモニーを保つために：

－いつも親しげに、笑顔を忘れずに。

－その家庭のルールに従いましょう。

－自室とリビングエリアはいつも整理整頓しましょう。

ホームステイの手配料

ホームステイ先の家族を手配する費用は$100.00です。

ホームステイ先から離れる、変わる場合は最低2週間前に通知してください。

ホームステイ先の家族への不満が道理にかなったものであると判断された場合は無料で別のホームステイを手配します。

My Homestay Family

Last week, I moved to my home stay, which was very exciting for me. There are two kids in this Australian family and both area younger than me. They area so friendly to me and we get on very well with each other. Of course they have a pet, a handsome dog named Ned. He is so well behaved that I thought I wouldn't be afraid of dogs any longer. And at night he always sleeps outside my room, hence I feel very safe.

Last weekend I ate the famous Aussie Barbie at last. It made a great impression on me because the barbie is one of the local foods in Australia. If you eat something with different sauces it will taste better. We sat around the table, having lunch and chatting.

Also, I ate a kind of dessert named a pancake . I added sugar , lemon juice and honey on it. I thought that it was very delicious so I hope my home stay mother will cook these things for me again.

After having the lunch , I swam with my new friends. We played a game, which is called Marco Polo. It was so interesting and lasted about two hours. I had a good weekend last weekend and my level of English is improving. I love living here and seeing everything.
