SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES

Friday afternoons are free for extra-curricular activities.

They are programmed monthly as follows:

Week 1

Sport (Basketball, Tennis, Bowling, Pool, Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Indoor Rock Climbing, Bush Walk, Squash, Cycling, Gym, Swimming)

Week 2

Party (for student and staff birthdays during that month) Cake/ Pizza/Video

Week 3

Sport (Yoga, Belly Dancing, Spanish Dancing, Ballroom Dancing, Meditation, Massage, Cooking lesson, Singing, Art lesson, Wine Tasting, Yoga at the beach, Tae Kwon-Do)

Week 4

Excursion (Featherdale Australian Animal Park, Palm Beach Ferry, Manly Oceanworld and North Head, University of Sydney Tour, Manly Ferry Cruise & Opera House Tour, Powerhouse Museum & Darling Harbour, Australia’s Wonderland, NSW Art Gallery and Botanic Gardens, The Rocks & Observatory, Sydney Harbour Ferry Cruise, the Easter Show, the Blue Mountains)

Parties

Maewill English College is famous for its parties. We celebrate the following days:

- Sporting Events such as the Olympics and the World Cup
- Mother’s Day

and any other excuse for a party!

First we teach the students the significance of each event and build up their English vocabulary on the subject, then we celebrate with balloons, food, activities and games.

We believe it is important for students to learn about cultural events, and celebrating makes learning English fun!
