Dear Maewill,
I studied at Maewill English College
on the Gold Coast, I enjoyed all my
time. The teachers and staff are
really friendly with good skills, I
will never forget them, I love all
of them. When I arrived in Australia
I was a little bit nervous, because
everything was different specially
the language, but the Maewill staff
helped me with a lot of things, they
helped me to get my visa work
permission and tax file number also
they helped me to open my account in
the bank, library card and
more.
While I was studying at Maewill,
there were a lot of laughs, the
school always has a great
atmosphere, the teachers staff are
very funny, they are lead by the
diplomatic and crazy Fiona. Everyday
I had a different reason to come to
school, I made good friends in
school. I just knew some verbs but
couldn't speak English however when
I finished my course I was in the
advanced class. Maewill has a great
combination that is hard to find in
Australia. It is a nice price and
excellent quality, I'm happy with my
decision to studied here.
The Gold Coast is a beautiful place
and offers a variety of restaurants,
cafes, shopping centres,
entertainment and sport facilities,
you can find here an excellent
environment for both living and
studying..... I almost forget you
will also see perfect waves.
I want to to say THANKS to all those
who helped me to improve my English,
Mr Collins, Fiona, Angela, Lubosh,
Melinda and the others...

First I want to say I want to stay!
I don't want to go back to Germany. Australia is much better.
Maewill school was fantastic. Everyday was special for me. It wasn't boring.
Rebecca, Matt and Sally did a great job. I would like to take them with me, in our school for English lessons.
`Why do all good things come to an end'. I hate this sentence, but for sure I know where I'm going to spend my next summer holidays.
Time is up I have to go. Goodbye everyone. See ya next year definitely!

My name is Radim Dirgas. I’m a student from the Czech Republic. I arrived in Australia on 11. February 2007. Before I arrived I had Ideas: “I would like to learn English and travel in Australia and do kitesurfing and meet with people from different cultures.
I lived for 5 months in Sydney in the Northern beaches in the suburb of Dee Why. This place is beautiful and famous. I think it’s the best place in Sydney. I studied in this school and my experiences are very rich. I had a nice time at the school. I met a lot of students from other countries and different cultures. I think it was a very good experience to my life.
These people were very friendly and I’m happy, that I could study in this school. How is my experience with teachers from the Sydney school? I can say my experiences are very good. All the teachers are friendly and if you have any problem these teachers help anyone. This school has a good program for students.
Sydney has nice beaches and the city centre is very busy and crazy and it makes Sydney a famous city.
My study program is at an end and I want to say “thank you so much” to teachers from Sydney
because I had a goooood time with these people.
And I want to say “ Thanks” to the best teacher and a very positive person, this person is FIONA, she is a very famous person, maybe more famous than
Sydney. Thanks Fiona I had a good time with you in Sydney
…..See you one day ….

G’day, mates!
My name is Gabriel and I started my classes at Maewill in May 2006. I am originally from Brazil and when I arrived in Australia, I was very concerned about my English. As you know,
Aussie accent is very hard. But day after day I learned this difficult language with the MEC teachers that helped me all the times.
In the end of 2006, I changed my plans. I decided to go to USA to do a MBA in Business Management instead of going back to my job in Brazil. However, before go to the University of California San Diego (UCSD), I had to do the famous and dreadful IELTS test. Oh my God! I didn’t know what to do. I was finished my English classes few months ago and I couldn’t risk my plans studying by myself. If I failed in IELTS test I couldn’t go to California and, consequently, I had to go back to Brazil.
So, I came back to MEC and restart my classes for just one week before the test. I know it sounds crazy and I should start at least one month before the test, but I didn’t have time. Anyway, I went to Jesse’s classes (he’s a very good teacher) in the afternoon and I did as many exercises as I could. When I was at home, I watched the news and read newspapers and magazines as well. I felt tired but I had to do that.
In the day of my test, I was very nervous, under pressure. I start my listening test missing easy questions just because of my stress. I took a deep breath and tried to concentrate in the rest of the record witch helped me a lot. During the second test (reading) I was more relaxed and the writing test was easy for me. After all this tests I still had to wait for the speaking one in the afternoon. Because of my surname (Borba) I was the first candidate to do the interview. The examiner was friendly and I could talk easily to him.
The only problem with the IELTS test is the waiting time to get the results (2 weeks). At least, I reached the score more than I needed in overall (6.5) and now I’m organizing my documents to go to California.
Well, I have to say THANK YOU, Maewill, for everything!!! You are more than a simple English college. You’re a big family and I’m very lucky to be part of this family. One day I’ll come back to Australia to see you again!!!! I’ll never forget you, guys!
Cheers!!!

Maewill College is located in Sydney, near Manly beach. It's been about 1 month since I first came to this school and I feel I'm becoming more and more a part of this school. I would like to recommend this college for the following reasons.
Firstly, the atmosphere is always very energetic and vigorous. Teachers are highly qualified and try to make classes educational and at the same time, joyful. These conditions which out teachers make contribute to the active atmosphere. In addition the class size is not big. Usually in one class there are about 15 students so almost every student can be cared for by teachers and have close relationships with teachers.
Secondly, the facilities are well equipped. There's a PC room which has about 13 computers and a kitchen, where students can cook during their lunch break. And an extra room, not used as a classroom, is used as an entertainment area for table tennis and students wanting to study by themselves.
About the courses, there are 4-6 different kinds of programs which you can choose. Some are for preparing for tests, others are for entrance to university and so on. If you visit us you can ask for more details.
Finally there are diverse social activities every week; sometimes going to a university, museum or art gallery, sometimes going to play some sport like rock climbing, or playing some game. Through these activities, students can become closer and get to know famous places in the local area. In my opinion, there couldn't be a better college than Maewill. You can visit and feel it in a very short time.

I remember how I
felt when I came to this school
first. As another Korean had
recommended Maewill to me, I
didn’t know about Maewill at all.
So when I entered the school, I was
a little bit worried about whether I
should go to this school or not.
However, it’s changed. As it is my
last day, I can look back at my good
memories. Funny activities like
pelican watching, playing squash,
the Christmas party, culture
exchange party etc. And the great
teachers, Rob, Paul, Connie and
Yoko. As our classes are not that
large, students can have a good
relationship with their teachers.
They help students as much as they
can. In addition to that, I was
lucky to be invited to a Japanese
party and a Brazilian party.
That’s the merit of a school with
students with a different
background. Because of that, I have
been satisfied with Maewill so now I
can also recommend my Korean friends
to this school.

What did you like about studying at Maewill? I had been scared of studying again before I arrived here. Hi Folks My name is Fabian. Im 17 and Im from Switzerland.
I studied at Maewill English College for 4 months. When I arrived in Australia
I could hardly speak any English but through the support of all the lovely
teachers and staff I improved my English a lot. Especially Avyssa, she
made a great effort. Through Preparation for High School class, Avyssa
helped us to structure an essay, prepare a speech (about Bushrangers)
and many other things. That made me confident and after the 4 months I
felt prepared for High School. Now Im a student at Narrabeen Sports
High School. Cheers Fab - Switzerland
Maewill English College provided a substantial foundation for my future

Where is the perfect place to study English? Which country has got sunny
weather the whole year, friendly easy-going people, beautiful beaches
and a multi-cultural society? It is Australia. A country, which is far
away from Europe with totally different life style and culture. To have
the opportunity to travel around this big beautiful country is an amazing
adventure, which you cant imagine. Different sights mature with
the infamous deserts, sea, sunny weather, Aborigines, culture. I can recommend
Maewill English College, Australia for studying English. Its more
than studying English its an experience of a lifetime! Peter - Czech
When I first came to Maewill English College I was nervous about my spoken
English. However, I learned to relax and improve every English skill due
to the friendly and experienced teachers, and comfortable conditions at
the school. Everyone really cares! Yoko - Japan
I have known Maewill English College for 5 months. At first, when I came
to this school, I could only speak simple words like "Hello!"
or "Thank you!" But as I learned English step by step at this
school, my English ability improved more and more. Above all, I want to
thank the many teachers at this school. They helped me a lot, to speak
English correctly whenever I said a wrong sentence. Also, they always
helped me so my fear of speaking English disappeared! Especially, Mae
who is a director at this school. She always smiles when she sees me.
And if I have a problem, she joyfully helps me. Also she tries to find
out what a students needs are. I am happy because of this school....
Paul - Korea
Four months seems just like a flick of time. However, its
left me with lots of memorable moments and eternal memories. During this
period I have learned a lot, both about English and life. With the help
of the teachers, Ive got rid of the nervous feeling when speaking
English. Thank you so much! How sad it is for me to say "Goodbye"
to the coolest English college! Ill miss you all, and Ill work
hard at high school. Cecilia - China
My name is Yoshi. Im from Japan. When I came to Australia,
I couldnt even take a bus because of my terrible English. Then I participated
in this English class and tried to improve my English. My first impression
of this school was very nice, it made me very relaxed. Because all the teachers
and students were very friendly, I could try to speak a lot. Even poor English,
they tried to understand it. After that, I was able to have confidence.
Thanks to them, I got a good job. Yoshi - Japan
I chose to study at Maewill English College following some
good advice from friends. I felt comfortable from the first day, because
everyone was really friendly and kind to me. I didnt understand every
word at the beginning, but as the days passed, I could understand more and
more and my English started to improve. I met many people, students and
teachers - who I developed good friendships with. I had a great time. The
classes were interesting, motivating and we had plenty of laughs as well.
The good sign of my improvement in English after spending about half a year
at MEC was when I passed the Cambridge English Exam and was accepted into
La Trobe University to commence a three-year degree in Business. So if everything
goes well I might be staying for another three years, still improving my
English. Lucy - Czech
