MAEWILL ENGLISH COLLEGE IS 10 YEARS OLD!

Happy Birthday Maewill English College...

10 years ago Maewill English College opened as a small school in Dee Why. Now, 10 years later Maewill English College is based in Brookvale and has just opened a new school on the Gold Coast. Thousands of students from all around the world have studied at the relaxed and friendly MEC.

COLLEAGUES' LUNCHEON Thursday, 13 July 2006

Both Mae and I were very proud to host so many friends and colleagues at a luncheon before the party.
So many people were in attendance - but I'd like to say a special thanks to:
Our local member in the NSW legislative assembly, Mr. David Barr; as well as Mr. Yu "Tony" Yu, consul in the education office of Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Sydney; and Mr. Pedro H. Magalhães - Acting Consul General of Brazil in Sydney for coming.

Over the past 10 years we have developed a wonderful working relationship with the local high schools - it was great to see both Ms. Julie Weaver and Ms. Carola Tesoreiro from Stella Maris College Manly, and  from St Luke's Grammar School, their principal Ms Jann Robinson, as well as Ms Pam McShane and Ms. Gai Lloyd.

Thanks also to Mr. Yi shi "York" Yao from Golden Kangaroo Pty Ltd and Mr. Jack Lin from the Daily Chinese Hearld; Fabiana and Michel from AEC; as well as Mr. Michael Lai from Transglobal Travel and his lovely wife Ivy and Ivy's mother; and Pastor Kim who presented us with a lovely bouquet of flowers.  
Finally to all the staff and students that helped out - sterling job !
